We’ve been in a holding pattern since my surgery and haven’t been able to move forward until now due to the slow recovery and inflammation from last months procedure.
Today was a small start to my cancer journey as I was finally able to receive my CT and PET scans. I started in the “hot lab” where I received my glowing radioactive fluid through an I.V. then proceeded to the lounge area for 45 minutes and sipped on lemon lime contrast, then I was brought to the scanner room where I laid still for 15 minutes.
It wasn’t a full spa experience but I was glowing, hydrated and rested afterwards, ha! The results should come back in the next few days. I have a MRI scheduled for Monday and doc appointments on Wednesday and Friday to figure out the launch of my treatment plan.
