Thank you everyone that has been on “Nikki watch” and “driving Miss Nikki” around town and to doctor’s appointments. It is overwhelming all the amazing the support I have received. I have a little video for you to watch along with some photos I have been taking on my walks.

I’m so happy things are progressing and you are getting stronger. Miss you my friend! So do the kids at Chanhassen!! Talk to you soon. Bill. Heart Tx. #683.

You’re looking great, Nikki! Kathy may have told you that I’m coming in the week of Halloween & that I volunteered to spend 2 afternoons with you. I thought it would be fun to take in the holiday with the boys, since I’ve never been with any of my grandchildren over Halloween. They are at really cute ages for it. Love to you & Travis, Kathy’s mom, Marilyn

Nikki,
Glad to hear you are doing so well. My first bronch was also rejection free. Such a relief!! Your new home and pics are beautiful. I am recovering in the argyle house by the hospital. My recovery has been a bumpy road. My lungs are doing great, but the sugery slowed down my digestive system so it keeps backing up on me. ( quite painful at times). By the way i am the one that was in the hospital the same time as you. So glad things are going good for you!

Hi Danita!
Sorry for the delay in response, I am just now starting to respond to emails from transplant. Although we never talked when we were in the hospital I feel like I know you from our parents sitting in the waiting room together. I’m sure it was nice for both of them to have each other to talk about things. We were all in a new unknown territory. I am so happy you are rejection free as well! My next bronch is next week, I think I will always be nervous for the results. Funny you mention the digestive system, I had similar issues. I am still dealing with heartburn and I am sleeping at an angle to prevent it and I had to eat small meals for quite some time although that seems to be a little better. Hopefully yours is residing. Other then that yesterday was another milestone, I walked up two flights of stairs and wasn’t out of breath! It is so awesome not to have the oxygen anymore!!! ALSO so awesome not doing vest treatments! How many were you doing before transplant? Did you wear o2? We should chat one of these days, my number is 612-810-1407. It was nice to talk to yet another person that received a transplant recently the other day. It seems like we all have the same issues.
Hope you continue to feel well and have continued success!
~Nikki
