Travis here. We were just notified that they started surgery around 11:25 P.M.
Thank you all for the kind words and for keeping us in your thoughts and prayers. While we are hopeful, excited and just a little bit scared, please remember there is also another family grieving that could probably use some prayers as well.

Yes indeed. Prayers for the recipient and donor alike. Thinking about Nik as she’s in surgery and hoping she’s enjoying nice dreams of deep breaths; soon to be a dream come true. Thx for the update Trav.

I’ve only met you and Nikki a few times and came across this post on FB tonight. What is odd is that she crossed my mind earlier today and I haven’t seen her in a couple of years. Prayers going out to Nikki and her donor and best wishes to all involved!!
