As of today, two years have passed since I was approved to be active on the double lung transplant list. During my interview process, I was told the wait for the right pair of lungs might take a week or maybe two years. I never really thought it was going to take this long! The good news is I am still waiting. Although finding the energy for my daily routine is becoming more difficult, I have been able to do many things over these last 104 weeks. I feel blessed that I have been healthy enough to wait for the right pair of lungs for me. I am thankful for the wonderful and supportive group of family and friends that have made this part of my journey not only bearable, but enjoyable.

We are right there with you Nikki! Think of you often! Sending LOTS of positive energy your way!

I can’t believe it has been two years either, I remember so well the days leading up to your decision to go on the list and chatting with you about it. And then the day you went active, never thinking it would be this long. Praying for you every day!!

2 years. UnHabibable! It doesn’t seem that long ago we were all sharing your last night of (serious) drinking. Like many others, I pray everyday and even have dreams about the great outcome of your incredible journey. I’ll (hopefully) see you, Travis, AND Rosey next week when I come to Minneapolis for the farewell to a good friend, Dark Star. Trikki has been spayed and is as crazy as ever! Much love and hope, Greg/Manny/Habibi and crew….

UnHabibable it is! So sorry for the loss of your dear friend Dark Star. He was so kind to help us last year at our event. A truly nice guy. Glad to hear Trikki is just like Rosie as a puppy. Hope we can see each other when you are in town! Miss you Habibi!
