Nikki's New Lungs

What a way to celebrate another year living!! It started at the beginning of the week with the best lung functions I have had yet😇

Followed with all the toy shopping and collecting for a record amount of 814 TOYS🎁 that I delivered to the Marines on my birthday Sunday night!!! Thank you to EVERYONE who donated and helped make so many kids happy this holiday season!

Topped off with multiple get together’s, I am blessed to add another year to my life!

It is December and with the fresh coating of snow in Minneapolis, it feels like the giving season!

It is that time of year again that I ask you for your help to put smiles on kids faces during the holiday’s. Please help me add to the collection of toys that I will be delivering to Toys for Tots on 12/16/17.

Many of you know about my history of donating toys to Toys for Tots on my birthday. This is going to be the TWENTY FIRST  year in a row I have dropped off toys to the Marines and Kare11! For those of you that have not seen this, here is a link to the story that aired a couple of years ago Kare11 Toys for Tots.

You can contribute by: setting a collection box at your place of work, ask friends or school mates, or if you would prefer to make a donation, I will do your shopping for you! Remember, I bring my “little helpers” and we are your personal shoppers. We will find as many toys possible with your donation and deliver them with our collection. I will need to purchase or set a time with you to pick up all toys by SATURDAY, December 15th in order to deliver on 12/16 to KARE 11 News. Thank you for helping me deliver as many toys possible again this year in honor of my double lung transplant donor, Jacob.

These amazing friends joined us on Saturday at this year’s Cystic Fibrosis Breath of Life Gala. I’m overwhelmed by the love and support from some of the most incredible people in our lives!! Thank you to everyone that donated, volunteered, and made the night a memorable occasion!! Thanks to all that helped raise over $860,000 in the evening to find a cure for CF!!

The 2018 Cystic Fibrosis Breath of Life Gala is approaching on Saturday, December 1st and there is still time to get your ticket and join us at one of the tables we have reserved!
