I can’t wait to celebrate and accept this award virtually with all of you this evening!!
There is plenty of time to get all the ingredients before Saturday’s virtual party!

I am extremely honered to receive this special award within the CF community! This event is always near and dear to my heart, for obvious reasons, and I will be giving an acceptance speech LIVE from our living room!
I would like to formally invite you to join the first ever virtual Minnesota/Dakotas Breath of Life Gala event on Saturday, December 5th, from 7:00-8:00PM.
It’s an exciting evening planned with a silent and live auction, mission focused moments, inspiring program, and a 1st of it’s kind musical performance.
Tickets are complimentary (seriously, no excuse not to attend😉) but if you cannot join the evening festivities, there is an option for a direct donation. Click on this link to attend or donate Breath of Life Gala.
VIP tickets are also available which includes pre-event content videos to create an at home Gala experience💃🏻 Tutorials from local chefs, bartenders, stylists, and more will make this year’s virtual event like no other! Come celebrate with me this December!!
With the latest pandemic restrictions, I hope you’ll be able to tune in and come to the party! As much as I wish we were all together in person this year, I am excited to celebrate with many of you virtually. Please register today, add this to your calendar, and forward this to anyone you think would like to join!

🎶 Just over 48 hours, severe dehydration, Covid-19 NEGATIVE results, eight blood draws from my feet, six bags of fluids, four I.V.’ pokes, three up the schnoz tests, two iPad doctor visits, one ride home from my sweetie, and a partridge in a pear tree!!! 🎶
I have been extremely careful to keep my lungs healthy and with the surge of pandemic positive cases, I was terrified to have to go to the E.R. with the chance I was going to be admitted.
I hadn’t been feeling well for a couple of days, was eating and drinking very little, had joint pain, a temperature, was terribly weak, nauseous, and felt down right crummy! I became severely dehydrated, my doctor told me I reached a point where I could not catch up on my own and I made the right choice to come in. I was not on a good path.
Tuesday I ended up in the emergency room. After two nights in the hospital, I’m happy to say, I had a relatively quick turn around, I came home last night around 5pm! I’m still a bit tired but definitely hydrated and hungry, all the good things!
I have to say thank you to the E.R. department and the nurses, doctors, aides, and everyone that took care of me on the Covid-19 floor, 5A, at the University of Minnesota Hospital! Not only did I receive excellent care but I was comforted with all the precautionary protection measures that were in place. I had complete confidence I was safe.
Yesterday, I woke up to a beautiful sunrise then watched a snow storm fly by. While we don’t know what started all this, I am glad to be enjoying the view from home now. I also appreciate the uplifting messages and prayers sent. Thank you everyone!! Stay safe, stay healthy💜

It was 9 weeks and 4 days since I’ve had any human contact, not that I was counting😉
I’m going to rip off the bandaid with the bad news 1st, Travis is no longer employed which means he’s not in and out of hospitals at the moment.
Now for the GREAT news, on September 28th, Travis moved back home with me! He was quarantined to the basement, separate bedroom and bathroom and we kept our distance from each other but it was wonderful just having him in the house again. He developed a slight cough and bit of a sore throat and we were hoping it was allergies but with his continuing effort to keep me healthy, he was tested for Covid-19 on 10/14.
We were waiting anxiously for his results so we could be reunited. His test was negative and Saturday, 10/17, almost three weeks since he had been back home, he walked in the house and I received a (((HUGE HUG))) My emotions got the best of me as I started crying. I’ve missed him so much and to be embraced in his arms again was a dream come true❤️
Sunday breakfasts together and so much more have resumed! I love my candied pecan pancakes, eggs, and maple bacon. Honey was excited and happy to sit pretty to have her little pupcakes too!
