Lately, I have been thinking that we should look into getting a puppy. Rosie is ten and a half now and if we were going to get a pup I didn’t want her to be too much older so she would enjoy having a little fur ball following her around.
Last Thursday, I called the same soft coated wheaten terrier breeders from whom we got Rosie. I was calling to see when they thought they might have a litter. She said, she has puppies right now! Friday, we still had not made a final decision whether or not we were ready for a puppy. We had to decide quickly.
Saturday afternoon, we went to “look” at the puppies. You know what happens when you “look” at puppies, you fall in love and you come home with one! Our new addition to the household is named Honey. She is just over six weeks old. Honey won’t be available to come home until February 27th. We can hardly wait!!
Wheaten terriers are very dark as puppies. Honey will eventually have a lighter color coat like Rosie. Here are a couple of pictures of Rosie. At three months she was still pretty dark.
As you can see, Honey should be a fitting name for an adult Wheaten.

We are soooo excited -grandparents again!! Rosie and Honey have the same eyes even, Rosie will make a great big sister!!
